Technical Manager for the Chicago Tribune Collator Cell Control System at the new Sunday Packaging Facility. This project involved the integration of three new collating machines and associated downstream equipment by Prim Hall.

Directed the R&D efforts of the engineering team at Prim Hall's manufacturing facility in Plattsburgh, NY. Spent over two months collecting test data and revising the software development plan. Created stretch goals and provided motivation to the engineering team to perform. Directed the installation and startup of the Collator Cell Control System at Chicago Tribune's Sunday Packaging Facility (onsite for 8 months). Prepared schedules and project status reports. Regularly attended meetings with the directors at the Tribune to formulate project execution strategies for the engineering team. Relieved engineer's involvement with management tasks in an effort to focus their attention on the engineering tasks at hand.

Supervised the development of a simulation package for customer acceptance testing, verification of control strategies, and operator training prior to startup. Developed the control strategies, graphical user interface, and module configuration. Developed an interface to an Allen- Bradley PLC-5. Supervised the cabinet design and field wiring implementation. Developed an extensive simulation package for customer acceptance testing, verification of control strategies, and operator training prior to startup. Assisted with the instrumentation loop checkout during startup. Trained pulp mill operators on the new control strategies and interaction with the Bailey Operator Control Interface.

Assisted in the development of Bailey Infi-90 DCS module configuration and graphical user interface, developed I/O listing, panel design, loop sheets, wiring diagrams, instrument index, motor elementaries, and P&IDs. Developed control strategies for all of the associated system controls.
